Express Entry started in January, 2015 by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to allow permanent residence (PR) in Canada for foreigners. Express Entry is an online process for immigration to Canada. The program is popular due to its processing time of less than 6 months.
The Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) has its own unique requirements to nominate individuals who wish to immigrate to Canada. Some PNPs are aligned with Federal Express Entry system. Since its inception, Express Entry has issued 308,468 Invitations to Apply (ITA) for Canadian PR over the course of 128 Express Entry draws.

Eligibility and Comprehensive Ranking System
The eligibility is based upon Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) segregated as Core 600 points including Skills points 100 and Additional 600 points which rank out of 1200 total points.
In PNPs, selection through these streams is based mainly on so-called human capital factors, such as work experience, language proficiency and education. Saskatchewan’s minimum score to issue ITA(Invitation to Apply) was 67 under two different programs, British Columbia’s minimum score 75 – 105 and Ontario minimum score 400 – 478.
