Canada Welcomes 24,720 PR Invitations in August 2023.

24,720 invites were sent for PR’s (ITA’s) in 36 new rounds of invitations under various Canadian Immigration Programs during the months of August 2023.

As compared to the total invites sent in July 2023, this is a 55% increase in the total number of invitations for PR.

During the month of August, Ontario issued more invites alongside express entry draws and provincial nominee programs for Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Quebec, British Columbia, Alberta and Prince Edward Island.

OINP sent out 9,906 invites in 3 express entry draws and 9 expression of interest draws. You would need to create a profile to be considered for expression of interest draws.However, express entry draws directly invite profiles directly from the express entry pool based on Ontario’s labor entry needs.

5,679 out of 9,906 OINP invitations were sent this month to Express Entry profiles, giving them provincial nominations along with 600 additional points.

In August 2023, Express Entry made just four rounds of invitations, issuing a total of 8,600 PR invitations, which was a slight drop from the 9,600 invitations sent out in July 2023.

However, it was a promising month for candidates across all Express Entry programs, with the draw for candidates without a specified program preference being the most generous, granting 6,300 invitations to apply. The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) cutoff for this draw ranged from 496 to 517.

Notably, August saw the inaugural targeted Express Entry draw for candidates in ten specific trade occupations, featuring the lowest-ever CRS cutoff score of 388.

Additionally, a smaller draw catering to Francophone candidates extended invitations to 800 profiles, with a CRS cut off score set at 435.

Manitoba continues to issue the 3rd highest number of invites for PR in August, after the OINP & Express Entry.

On 31st August, Manitoba PNP announced its region specific draw for skilled workers in Manitoba intending to reside outside the Winnipeg area, 600 was its lowest cutoff score.

SINP introduced its Country targeted PNP draws. They sent out 1,384 invitations under the Occupation in Demand and Express entry stream, targeting applicants from 8 countries having a cutoff of 60.

Minimum EOI has a score of 60 to qualify to create a profile with SINP.

British Columbia PNP has issued 861 new invitations for PR as compared to 731 in July 2023 under various categories.

Every week, the province of British Columbia alternates between general and targeted PNP rounds of invitations.

Educators or HealthCare Occupations receive invites at low cutoffs.

Quebec held just one Arrima draw on 10th August, inviting 1,384 profiles for PR. This targeted profiles with oral French proficiency of CLB 7 or higher and a score of 591 or higher according to the Quebec Score Calculator.

In August of this year, AAIP sent 7 Express Entry draws as compared to July of this year that had just 3 draws.

A total of 815 invites have been sent to claim Provincial Nominations with an opportunity to boost their CSR up to 600 points.

Alberta already issued 7,121 nomination certificates across all categories as of August 29, 2023.

Prince Edward Island is the smallest province and invited a total of 222 candidates in 3 PNP draws.

This year they have issued a total of 1,861 invitations to apply for PR across all categories.
