Program’s Introduction

The EB-5 program provides foreign nationals with an opportunity to acquire permanent residency in the United States by investing in a U.S. business. Many foreign investors who seek permanent residency in the USA by making an investment. The main criteria of this program is:

  • The investor must make a minimum investment of $900,000 in a Targeted Employment Area (TEA) or $1.8 million in a non-TEA.
  • The investment must create or preserve at least 10 full-time jobs for U.S. workers

  • Have enough money to settle and live in Canada, applicants must demonstrate that they have sufficient funds to settle and support themselves and their family. The specific amount required varies depending on the size of the family, but as a reference, the Government of Canada sets the minimum amount at CA$ 28,052 for a family of five.
